Congratulations to Coach Eric Teague who was selected as the 2021-2022 All Arkansas Preps Overall Coach of the Year and 2X Girls Basketball Coach of the Year!
Coach Teague is a Melbourne High School graduate and took over the head coaching for the Lady Bearkatz in 2014 and has led them to four consecutive state championships. The Lady Bearkatz captured their first undefeated season in the 2021-2022 season under his guidance.
Three high school athletes were also recognized as All Preps Honorees at the banquet. Roby Cooper for Golf, freshman Fernando Ventura for football, and Kenley McCarn for basketball.
