Congratulations to Amanda Miller, the Melbourne Elementary Art teacher, for receiving the Arkansas Game and Fish Wildlife Conservation Education Grant!  Mrs. Miller was awarded $1,000 to create a wildlife drawing station in the MES art room.  Kindergarten through sixth grade students will soon have access to art materials such as animal skin rubbing plates, animal stencils, and How to Draw Insects books.  This will promote a hands-on, student centered learning environment for students to explore and understand biodiversity.  Mrs. Miller is helping Melbourne Elementary students build knowledge of the connection between visual arts and science thanks to the Arkansas Game and Fish Wildlife Conservation Education Grant!
