Melbourne High School Senior, Lanie Cornelius captured the World Championship in Stake Race at the AQHYA World Show as well as the Reserve World Champion in Stake Race. This is the first time anyone had ever won 1st and 2nd in this class in the same year.
Lanie did whatever it took to secure these historic wins by including an impressive trick move to avoid knocking the pole over while riding her horse. Lanie won the World Championship riding “Howie” and Reserve riding “Bubbles”. In addition, she also placed in the top ten in three other classes with different horses at the show. Congratulations!
