Melbourne will be well represented at the Arkansas High School Coaches Association All-Star Week at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway.  MSD’s top student-athletes and coach will battle it out on the court, diamond, and football field one more time representing Bearkatz Nation in the 2023 All-Star games.  A total of five athletes and one coach in four different sports will participate beginning Friday, June 23 with a baseball double header at 1 PM.  The All-Star girls basketball game is slated for Saturday, June 24 at 1 PM, and the All-Star football game is at 6 PM on Saturday, June 24. 

The first all-star event will be a baseball double header.  Pitcher and shortstop Trey Wren will represent Melbourne High School in the East baseball All-Star Game.  The Bearkatz finished the season 18-1 and won their conference championship. 

Kaylee Love will represent the Lady Bearkatz Varsity Basketball team.  Kaylee helped the Lady Bearkatz win two state championships in her 10th and 11th grade years and 2 conference championships and 1 conference runner up. 

Wide receiver and free safety Carter Bray and Sawyer Hoskinds will suit up for the East football squad, while Coach Stu Smith will be the defensive coordinator for the East squad.   First year head coach Stu Smith led the Bearkatz in a 13-1 historic season and first conference championship in history.

Ashton Reynolds will be cheering as she was selected for the Cheer Team.  She has been a member of MHS cheer for six years.  She will cheering for the East teams in basketball and football.

We are excited that our student-athletes and coach were selected to compete in the All-Star games.  These athletes have spent many hours dedicated to their respective athletics.
