Melbourne School is proud to announce a new addition to its high school faculty. Mrs. Taryn Hames, who previously taught at the elementary, now teaches the Family and Consumer Sciences classes at the secondary level. Mrs. Hames taught 7 years at Batesville before taking the position as a 5th grade literacy teacher at Melbourne Elementary. When asked what it’s like to go from elementary to high school, she reports that she likes teaching at the high school level. “I get to teach multiple classes in subject areas that I am passionate about and that are of great interest to me. It is much more fast-paced than elementary, but I get to interact with several groups and multiple grade levels of students.” Mrs. Hames has already proven to be a tremendous asset for Melbourne High School and is a great fit for MHS!
